To expand the reach of its current and future activities, YGA decided to collaborate with Markethinkers in the field of SEO. Through this partnership, YGA aimed not only to increase its digital visibility but also to reach a wider audience. 

At Markethinkers, we have always considered sharing our expertise with society an essential part of our social responsibility efforts. In this context, we frequently visit various educational institutions and universities as guest speakers to share our knowledge with young people and help them gain valuable insights into the industry. We also provide voluntary support to non-profit organizations within our areas of expertise. By doing so, we aim to help these organizations reach wider audiences and create a greater positive impact on society. Our collaboration with YGA was also carried out on a voluntary and pro bono basis. While we supported YGA in taking a step closer to its mission, we were able to fulfill our own responsibility to contribute to society.

Getting Started with the Project

When we began working with YGA, our primary objective was to drive growth through organic traffic and make their content accessible to a broader audience. This approach would enable YGA to increase its digital presence and become more widely recognized by larger communities. In line with this goal, we developed a comprehensive strategy, which we explain in detail below, and began implementing it. 

Strategy

At Markethinkers, we can summarize the steps we planned to help YGA stand out in the digital space as follows:

  • Creating content for category pages to make these pages more prominent and build a user-first site structure
  • Protecting site authority by disavowing toxic links
  • Implementing E-E-A-T (Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, Trustworthiness) optimizations
  • Fixing technical SEO issues and conducting regular technical structure monitoring
  • Increasing organic traffic and building a loyal readership through consistent blog production

While designing the information architecture of the website, we created a structure based on the needs and expectations of users. At the same time, to ensure that the site was both user-friendly and SEO-compliant, we reorganized the existing category structure and built a well-structured category tree.

As part of the developed strategy, one of our key objectives was to address the technical issues caused by YGA’s non–SEO-friendly website infrastructure. To achieve this, we recommended migrating the site to WordPress, which would provide a more SEO-compliant foundation. Accordingly, we carried out a comprehensive migration process as part of this initiative.

Project Goals and Achievements

In August, the website was migrated to WordPress as part of the infrastructure change. This transition aimed to improve both site performance and technical SEO compliance. At the same time, the website content was restructured using strategic keywords to align with traffic growth goals and better address the target audience’s needs. 

Organic Traffic Growth

Organic traffic increased by 38% year-over-year between August 2024 and August 2025, showing strong annual growth.

Compared to July 2025, organic traffic in August 2025 increased by 18.53%, indicating a significant month-over-month improvement.

When we look at other non-governmental organizations operating in similar fields as YGA, it is clear that our efforts have led to significant gains. The traffic share of yga.org.tr increased from 17% in July 2025 to 21% in August 2025, reflecting a notable improvement.

The increase in habitatdernegi.org’s traffic share from 17% in July to 23% in August indicates that NGOs are becoming more active in the digital space. Despite this trend, YGA’s ability to increase its own traffic share demonstrates the strengthening of its digital visibility.

Search Console Metrics

The total number of clicks increased from 3.16K in July 2025 to 4.94K in August 2025, recording a 56.33% growth. Meanwhile, total impressions rose from 60.7K to 72.1K, marking an 18.78% increase.

SERP Features Success

While there was limited visibility in SERP features in November 2024, a steady upward trend was observed throughout the year, achieving visibility across 196 different SERP features by August 2025. This growth accelerated particularly after March 2025 and continued to rise consistently, marking a significant achievement in terms of organic visibility.

Thanks to this systematic, SEO-focused approach, YGA not only achieved significant organic traffic growth, but also greatly increased its visibility and recognition within its field of activity. Through the right infrastructure, a solid content strategy, and search-visibility–oriented optimizations, YGA successfully expanded its digital presence in a sustainable way.
